Happy to announce that Weta Workshop have released our second, 1:6 scale Warhammer collectible, Abaddon the Despoiler!
High above a snowy battlefield, upon a craggy outcrop, looms Abaddon the Despoiler. His imposing figure dominates the scene as he stands in triumph amidst the flowing blood of his slaughtered enemies!
This was an awesome character to work on with so much detail, depth and history to his name. It was created with great care and respect to Games Workshop’s fantastic miniature.
My involvement with this huge collectible was to create the concept, art direct the pose and overall aesthetics, while also sculpting lots of different elements and components.
A big thanks to Victor Gully and his endless patience with my tinkering. He was key to the success of this piece, spending many hours modelling, sculpting and texturing his massive form.
This project was a huge group effort, involving many talented people. A sincere thanks to you all for making this a reality!
3D print was by Chris RahenKamp and Tom Walden.
Model makers and print clean-up was done by Leonard Ellis, Stephen Edwards, Bryn Jones, Josh Roy-Anstey and Tagish Carey.
